To celebrate the start of the Olympics students are encouraged to show their Olympic spirit by dressing sporty. This could be dressing as their favourite athlete, wearing their teams’ sports uniform, or rocking the Australian green and gold! To participate, students are asked to bring in a gold coin donation on the day.

On Tuesday 6th August Ropes Crossing Public School will be celebrating Education Week with an Open Day. 11:40- 12:20- Open Classrooms 12:30-1:15- Concert 1:15- 2:00- Picnic Lunch. Bring along some lunch, a picnic blanket or a chair to sit on to enjoy lunch with your child.

The Student Representative Council, Year 6 and P&C will be holding a Cake Stall on Tuesday, 6 August during the Education Week Open Day. The cake stall will operate at recess time and the cost of items will range from 50c - $3.00 per item.

All students in Year 6 have been invited on an excursion to Western Sydney University. The purpose of this excursion is to provide students with an insight into higher education, and for them to understand tertiary education. There will be opportunities for them to participate in workshops which are of interest to the students.
